This guide walks you through installing a steering damper on the Teverun Fighter Mini Pro, including installation of the front and rear mounting points and final damper adjustment.
Important: This installation requires drilling and tapping mounting holes. Make sure the scooter is powered off and securely supported before beginning. If you are not comfortable drilling, tapping, or working on steering components, we recommend having the installation completed by a qualified technician.
Front Mounting Point
- Carefully lay the scooter on its side.
- Remove the bolt currently installed in the bottom of the front steering arm.
- Position the front damper mount and mark the location for the new M6 mounting hole.
- Support the swing arm so that it sits horizontally. Drill the marked hole vertically into the swing arm.
The swing arm is solid in this location, so there is plenty of material available for the mounting hole. - Tap the newly drilled hole for the M6 bolt.
- Bolt the front mounting point securely into place.

Rear Mounting Point
- Locate the angled section of the rear steering neck.
- Position the rear damper mount on the lower third of the angled neck. Make sure the position allows the damper to move freely throughout the steering range.
- Once you have determined the correct mounting position, mark the M6 mounting hole locations.
- Drill the marked holes and tap them for the M6 mounting bolts.
- Bolt the rear mounting point securely into place.

Final Assembly
- Using the included hardware, connect the steering damper between the front and rear mounting points. Install the damper with the hydraulic portion facing toward the rear of the scooter.
- Adjust the damper length and mounting position so the scooter has the desired amount of steering travel in both directions.
- Before riding, slowly turn the handlebars completely left and right and confirm that:
- The steering moves freely.
- The damper does not bind.
- The damper does not reach the end of its travel before the scooter reaches its normal steering limit.
- All mounting hardware is secure.
- Adjust the damper stiffness to your preferred level. We recommend starting with a lighter setting and gradually increasing resistance until you find the setting that feels comfortable.
The Finished Installation
Once installed correctly, your Fighter Mini Pro steering damper should look similar to the example below.

Before your first ride: Double-check all mounting bolts and verify full steering movement in both directions. Recheck the mounting hardware after your first few rides to make sure everything remains tight.
